Enrollment Process

SECTION I

Professional Educational Services Group, LLC (PESG) is now hiring substitutes for Washtenaw County, except Saline Area Schools (Contact Saline directly). The following substitutes are required to attend an enrollment session with PESG:(scroll down to view the 2008-2009 enrollment session schedule)

*WISD's Special Education Classrooms at High Point School and Out-Centers

SECTION II

WISD's Special Education classrooms are separate from the other school districts in Washtenaw County. Our students have severe and multiple cognitive impairments. Some of our students will require assistance with feeding and toileting, which may include changing diapers.

WISD's classroom staff consists of: one (1) teacher and at least two (2) teaching assistants and subs are required for absences. Our classroom locations are:

  • High Point School (8 classrooms),
  • Ann Arbor (6)
  • Chelsea - Young Adult
  • Dexter High School and Young Adult (2)
  • Ypsilanti - Young Adult
  • WCC
  • EMU
  • Industrial Blvd (2) - Young Adult and
  • Washtenaw County Children's Services Department (4) (Juvenile Detention - requires a separate 1½ hour orientation for Teacher Subs only, you will be notified).
