Welcome to Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD), one of 57 regional educational service agencies in Michigan. WISD is governed by five elected Board members who work with the Superintendent, administrators, and staff to provide educational programs that put students first. The district operates under Michigan law, Federal law, its 20/20 Long Range Plan and in cooperation with its 10 local school districts.
The Superintendent leads the district in carrying out the Board's annual goals and long-range plan. The Superintendent's office is also a resource for government relations and charter school information. The Assistant Superintendent for Student Services provides community linkages, supports student programming, and supplies information on property transfers. The Assistant Superintendent for Business Services is responsible for the district's budget, payroll, and finances along with the operation of its buildings and grounds.
Communication Services provides information and resources that help the community understand and support WISD's mission, vision and purpose along with providing information on school laws and home schooling.

integrity – that it is fulfilling its vision and mission for its learners and other constituents.
REMC Annual Report
The REMC Statewide SAVE Cooperative Bid Project is provided as a service of your REMC, Intermediate School
District, and the REMC Association of Michigan for all Michigan schools, institutions of higher
education, libraries, and local units of government. The Project aggregates volume and, therefore, the
purchasing power of schools statewide and provides large-volume bid pricing on a variety of educational

Shared Services
The Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD) Board of Education has adopted a resolution to
participate in a multi-intermediate school district (ISD) collaborative to develop regional solutions to ISD educational
funding and service challenges. The action comes as a result of ISD superintendents in Washtenaw, Monroe, Lenawee,
Jackson, Hillsdale, Livingston, Eaton and Ingham meeting to develop service-sharing arrangements within the region.
